Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing
Fusion splicing is joining two optical fibers end-to-end that light passing through the fibers is not scattered or reflected back by the splice. Fusion splicing machines use typically an electric arc or a laser through to create the heat needed to join the two fibers.
Our service allows us to repair splices at existing fiber optic networks or terminate new fibers in patch panels, cabinets or with pigtails. Each splice is tested by the fusion splicing machine and by OTDR measurements to optimise transmission parameters. We support all major fiber types and are able to do fusion splicing between different fiber types.
