Gulf 12 Hours Race
Yas Marina Circuit
Abu Dhabi

OPTIMAL CONNECTIVITY provided cable harnesses and connectors to one of the racing teams.

Our solutions “Made in U.A.E.” helped to have seamless data and video communication from the car to the team at the pit. All telemetric data and streams from different on-board cameras were streamed to a server which fed these data directly & live to YouTube.

Harnesses for Race Cars

Our harnesses are used in telemetry applications in car racing. Extremely robust, high temperature coaxial, signalling and electrical cables together with active devices LTE- and WiFi-transceivers allow to monitor all data provided by the race car in order to assist the team and the driver.

Therefore we decided to use in the car special Push-Pull QMA-Type RF connectors  and specially double-screened cables to avoid signal loss and signal interference. Previously, the communication team used screw-type connectors which tend to open or even dis-integrate due to constant vibration, acceleration and braking force up to 6g.

Our design proved that sometimes “small” things can make the “big” difference thanks to Push-Pull connectors. A Push-Pull connector provides defined connectivity by mating within a click of a second. It opens only when a ring is pulled back. Ideal, when you need to rely on fast releasing and mating during e.g. pit-stop breaks.
